Keith's longstanding relationship with Master Harnessmaker Russ Bigelow of Winchester, New Hampshire, turned formal when the New Hampshire Council on the Arts awarded the duo an apprenticeship grant. Russ spent many hours teaching Keith the finer points of harnessmaking. The result is a beautiful Express Draft harness that will be donated to the Pony Farm Horsepower Program in Temple, New Hampshire, to be used on their draft horse Willie. As part of the project,

Craftsmen's Annual Sunapee Craftsmen's Fair.
The new Blue Dog shop houses a number of sewing machines of various sizes and types to ensure that thick layers and tricky corners can be correctly sewn. While Keith
prefers hand-sewing because of its strength and versatility, machines are often the sensible (and cost-effective) way to address heavy leather and long, straight seams.
